What to Know Before Getting Started

At Memories Unpacked, we understand that every move is different. Our goal is to make the process more organized, manageable, and personal by providing the support that fits your situation. Here are a few things we want you to know before getting started.

Memories Unpacked Is a Move Management Service

Memories Unpacked provides move planning, sorting, coordination, and hands-on support throughout the moving process.

We are not a moving company and do not provide transportation of household goods. When a moving company is needed, you will contract directly with the moving company of your choice. Memories Unpacked can help coordinate with your chosen movers as part of our move management services.

Services Are Customized to Your Needs

You don't have to purchase every service we offer. Depending on your needs, you may choose assistance with:

  • Move planning and coordination

  • Floor and space planning

  • Belongings sorting and downsizing

  • Belongings dispersal coordination

  • Packing assistance

  • Unpacking and setting up your new residence

  • Move-day oversight

  • Post-move follow-up support

We'll discuss your situation with you and determine which services may be appropriate for your needs.

Services are subject to availability and the terms of your written service agreement.

You Make the Decisions About Your Belongings

Your belongings are personal, and the decisions about them are yours.

Memories Unpacked can provide organization, guidance, and hands-on assistance with sorting, downsizing, gifting, donating, selling, or otherwise dispersing belongings. We do not decide what you should keep, discard, donate, sell, or give away. You remain responsible for making the final decisions about your possessions.

Working With Other Professionals

A move may involve a number of professionals and service providers, such as moving companies, real estate professionals, senior living communities, estate-sale companies, donation organizations, junk-removal providers, and other vendors.

When appropriate, Memories Unpacked may help coordinate communication and scheduling with these providers.

Unless otherwise agreed to in writing, services provided by third parties are separate from Memories Unpacked services, and you are responsible for selecting and contracting with those providers and for their charges.

Estimates, Proposals, and Service Agreements

After learning about your needs, we may provide an estimate, proposal, or other information regarding the services you are considering.

The specific services, fees, payment terms, scheduling, responsibilities, and other conditions applicable to your project will be set forth in your written agreement with Memories Unpacked. No services are guaranteed or scheduled until the applicable agreement has been accepted and any required arrangements have been completed.

If information on this website differs from the terms of your written service agreement, the written service agreement will control with respect to your project.

We Respect Your Privacy and Personal Decisions

Moving often involves personal belongings, family circumstances, and important life decisions.

We strive to treat your belongings, information, preferences, and decisions with care and respect.

Our role is to provide support and organization—not to make personal decisions on your behalf.
